The Waverly Shell Rock School District has confirmed what was emailed to student’s families in previous weeks, work on the elementary schools is behind. Students from Shell Rock were initially supposed to start the year in the North Ridge Elementary School, however work has not progressed enough for that to take place so those students will start the year in the Shell Rock Elementary. The new plan is to move those students into North Ridge on Monday, October 9th. Once that happens, renovations in Shell Rock can take place. Waverly students will get into their own schools in the 2024-2025 school year. The school district says there are many factors that contributed to the postponement but assure the public lots of work is taking place. More details regarding the specifics of move for Shell Rock students will be released once the school year begins.
