The City of Elk Run Heights is advising residents to not drink the water after a distribution system problem and lost pressure. An elevated level of manganese is in the water and consumption may cause neurological health issues. Residents should not boil the water as that does not reduce the level of manganese and can make it more concentrated. The City suggests using bottled water to drink, brushing teeth and food prep until further notice. They do say that the water is safe for bathing.
