Elma Man Going to Prison for Sex Abuse of a Child

An Elma man will go to prison for sexually abusing a child in Charles City, according to KIMT. Randy Nibaur abused a child under the age of five on multiple occasions. He was originally charged with second degree Sexual Abuse but entered an Alford Plea to a reduced charge. The Alford Plea means that Nibaur does not admit guilt but does concede that the evidence in the case would have likely led to a conviction. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined $1,370. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
