A Waterloo man has escaped from the Fort Dodge Correctional Residential Center, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 34 year old Nathaniel Griggs failed to return to the correctional facility on Saturday. He was serving time for felony Domestic Abuse. He was convicted of that crime in June of 2023 and sentenced to up to five years in prison. He was put on work release in April. He is described as being a Black male, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local police.
