The City of Fairbank has announced that the city wide clean up day will be Monday, April 7th. On that day some items that normally would not be collected with normal garbage pickup, will be collected. Box springs, mattresses, bed frames, sofas, tables, chairs, dressers, desks, bookshelves, bathroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, toys, open and dry paint cans, outdoor patio furniture, garden tools, and dry gas powered items are among the items that will be picked up. Citizens can also purchase tags to have appliances and electronics collected. Tags are $20 per unit and must be purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4th. All items must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. in order to be picked up.
