Two California men have been arrested for allegedly using fake titles in attempts to register vehicles, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 39 year old Brandon Myles of Laguna Nigel, California has been charged with three counts of first degree Fraudulent Practices. 34 year old Caleb Estrada, also of Laguna Nigel, has been charged with two counts of Fraudulent Practices. Investigators say that Myles recently formed a company in Waterloo called M1 Motorsport Inc. He and Estrada then allegedly attempted to transfer five vehicles to the company. The Black Hawk County Treasurer’s office quickly determined the titles and bills of sale were fake. The California Department of Motor Vehicles then confirmed the titles were also fraudulent and the real titles were issued to lienholders. Myles and Estrada have been released from custody, pending trial.
