Early Wednesday morning, a fire was reported in Cedar Falls due to a fallen tree on Bluff Street.
According to KWWL, the Black Hawk County Dispatch Center received a call at 1:59 a.m. about a potential transformer fire. Public Safety Officers and Firefighters found a tree had damaged a home’s electrical service, igniting a fire that spread from an exterior wall to the roof and into a bathroom. Firefighters extinguished the flames and took steps to protect the property from further weather-related damage. The home suffered smoke, fire, and water damage. The fire’s cause is under investigation.
