A one vehicle crash in Sumner has taken the life of one and sent another to the hospital, according to KWWL. 75 year old Larry Goodwin of Fredericksburg was driving west on Highway 93 around 9:30 Sunday night. For an unknown reason, Goodwin crossed the center line and entered the ditch before striking an embankment on Lifeline Drive. That sent the truck airborne, landing in the Dollar General parking lot. The vehicle then rolled several times before coming to a stop near a light pole. Goodwin died in the accident. His passenger, 67 year old Audrey Goodwin was injured in the crash, she was flown to Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Larry Goodwin was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
