According to KWWL, one person is dead, after an early morning shooting on W. 2nd St. in Waterloo.
Waterloo police identified the victim as 41-year-old LaVance Cooper, who was shot once in the abdomen. He was transferred to Unity Point- Allen hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have charged 58-year-old Dorray Cooper with First-Degree Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Officers were at the scene of the shooting for several hours on Tuesday until just before 1:00 p.m. The shooting happened just after 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
