The bodies of two people from Arizona were found in a car buried at a home in Evansdale, according to KWWL. On Thursday the FBI and Black Hawk County authorities searched the property at 760 Timber Oak Road where the bodies were found. They have been identified as 45 year old David “Nick” Batten and 28 year old Elissa Landry. While the results from the autopsies have not yet been announced, it has been reported that Batten and Landry were murdered. Landry was in a relationship with a man formerly of Waterloo named Mitchel Mincks. He was arrested in April for a probation violation. He is a suspect in the alleged murder of Landry and Batten, who was Landry’s stepfather. A second man has also been arrested on charges of abuse of a corpse. Allan Tucker was taken into custody by Waterloo Police’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.
