A Charles City man is facing federal gun charges after he allegedly threatened to shoot a man he says stole his weed, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 31 year old Dashaune Burns-Johnson was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Domestic Abuser in Possession of a Firearm. Police say Burns-Johnson knocked on the door of a home in May. When the resident answered, Burns-Johnson produced a gun and asked where another man was, saying he was going to kill him. The resident called police, who then located Burns-Johnson a short distance away and took him into custody. They found the gun as well as seven bags of marijuana, $190 in cash, and 27 Naltrexone pills, which is used to treat alcohol and illegal drug usage. Burns-Johnson is barred from handling firearms because of Domestic Abuse convictions in 2021. He also was convicted of threatening to shoot his wife in January.
