Federal Prison for Woman Caught with Meth Again

A La Porte City woman will go to federal prison after being caught with methamphetamine twice in a seven month period, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 36 year old Rebecca Rose pleaded guilty in November to Possessing At Least 50 Grams of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute. Rose was pulled over in Tipton in December of 2022. Law enforcement found $2,000 in cash, 121 grams of pure meth, and 51 grams of marijuana in the vehicle. Then, on July 15th, she was pulled over again, this time in Jones County. Officers found 20 grams of pure methamphetamine and $609 in cash in the car. Rose was taken to jail where staff found a further 53 grams of meth and a meth pipe hidden in her crotch. Rose was sentenced to seven and a half years in federal prison and must serve three years of supervised release once she gets out of prison.
