A fire at the under construction Lost Island Theme Park has destroyed a queue building, according to KWWL. The fire started between 7:00 and 8:00 Thursday night. It completely destroyed a 1,500 square foot building meant to house those waiting in line. The building also housed the control panel for the Flume ride, that too was destroyed. The owner of park, Eric Bertch, says some temporary heating caught a blanket on fire, which spread quickly. Bertch says reconstruction could begin as early as Monday and he does not believe this will delay the park’s soft opening in late May or early June. Nobody was injured in the fire.
