A Florida man has been arrested in connection to thefts of purses from parking lots in Cedar Falls in December, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 26 year old Victory Ogiste of Fort Lauderdale is accused of smashing the windows of four vehicles and stealing purses while the owners were at KJ and Company hair salon and Orange Theory Fitness on Viking Road. Investigators believe this was part of a Felony Lane Gang style bank fraud scheme in which criminals use stolen Ids in the drive through lane furthest away from the teller window to bleed accounts dry. Ogiste and two others from Florida were originally taken into custody after a chase on Highway 20 that reached speeds in excess of 130mph. Ogiste has prior charges for Felony Lane Gang style crimes in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2018, Huntly, Illinois also in 2018, and in Westlake, Ohio in 2015.
