Former Dunkerton Police Chief and Coach Pleads

Former Dunkerton police chief Kate Krieger has pled guilty to theft charges as part of plea deal, according to KWWL. Krieger was accused of misreporting the time she spent on the job in Dunkerton. She was actually working as an officer in another town during some of the time she said she was working in Dunkerton. Charges for tampering with official records were dismissed while Krieger pled guilty to 2nd degree theft and felonious conduct in office in the deal. She will be sentenced at a later date. Krieger was also the head softball coach at Dunkerton. She has since been replaced in that role.
