A former substitute teacher and track coach at Denver has voluntarily surrendered his educator’s license after a female student accused him of an inappropriate relationship, according to KCRG. The student claimed that Chris Parsons went out of his way to make physical contact with her and sent her sexual messages on Snapchat. Denver Police say that in their investigation they never found anything that would be considered criminal in nature. The student and one of her friends told police Parsons said he wanted to touch the student and have sex with her but those messages were not saved. Parsons says he never did anything wrong. The Iowa Board of Educational Examiners found probable cause for four violations including Grooming Behavior Towards a Student and Inappropriate Relationship with a Student. Parsons has been permanently banned from teaching in Iowa.
