A former UNI professor has died in a prison in Arkansas, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 80 year old John Longnecker died from lung cancer on Tuesday. He was an assistant math and computer professor at UNI and served as the chairman of the Faculty Senate for a time. He retired from UNI in 2000 and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas.
