A Fredericksburg man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 13 year old girl after escaping from a Waterloo halfway house, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 28 year old Lance Taylor was serving time for having sexual contact with a 15 year old girl and for allegedly grabbing a 16 year old’s groin area, both at his home in Fredericksburg in 2019. He had been allowed to serve his time at the Waterloo Residential Facility. He left there during a furlough to go shopping and to visit a park on September 14th but did not return. Corrections officials later found him in a car with his young son at Meyers Lake. Taylor was not allowed to have contact with children and was taken back to the residential facility. He ran out the door 20 minutes later. On Wednesday he allegedly attacked a 13 year old girl in the home where he was hiding out. The girl told officials Taylor hit her and strangled her while forcing her to have sex. The girl was left with marks on her neck.
