A gofundme set up to help the family of the nine year old killed when he was hit by a vehicle that left the roadway in Waterloo a week ago has raised nearly $13,000. David Chavez-Morales was in his yard when an SUV left East Mullan Avenue and struck him, killing him. The driver apparently suffered a medical emergency. The gofundme has a goal of $15,000. The family says they will use the money to pay for the funeral and burial services. Chavez-Morales’ funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 at the church. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
