Cedar Falls firefighters responded to a a garage fire at 2604 Iowa Street Friday evening. Large flames were engulfing a detached garage next to the property. Eyewitnesses believed there had been some kind of explosion involving a vehicle. Authorities said a vehicle may have been the source of the flames but doubted an explosion was to blame. The garage was a total loss. No one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
