Gas prices continue to be volatile in Waverly. Prices dropped 20 cents Wednesday into Thursday. A gallon of unleaded gas on the south side of Waverly currently cost $4.29. As is typically the case, that is still significantly higher than prices that can be found in the Waterloo Cedar Falls area. Waverly’s $4.29 mark is closer to the state average than has recently been the case. That average currently sits at $4.24 according to AAA. The national average for a gallon of gas is $4.55.
