Waverly Fire Rescue was called to a location in rural Waverly for a grain bin rescue on Friday afternoon. The call came in just after 4:00 p.m. When crews arrived on scene they found the victim conscious, alert and partially buried in corn. A successful rescue was then executed with the help of the Waverly Ambulance, Denver Fire, the Bremer County Emergency Management, the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office, and Air Care 2. Crews were on the scene for just over an hour and a half.
