Waterloo Police are investigating an alleged random gunfire incident that took place Tuesday morning. Neighbors near the Ankeny and Newell Street intersection reported hearing gunfire around 10:00 Tuesday morning, March 29. Police responded and found a home on Ankeny was hit with multiple bullets. Police where then called to Ricker Street where witnesses say someone fired shots from a moving car. Police found the suspects car and a handgun nearby, but are currently searching for the suspect. No injuries were reported.
