A longtime Cedar Falls basketball coach has died in a car crash.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Jerry and Jacqueline Slykhuis were driving in Seward County when a semi driver did not stop at a stop sign and hit their car.
Jerry Slykhuis coached basketball at Cedar Falls High School and in Fort Madison. He was inducted into the IHSAA Basketball Hall-of-Fame.
