Mayor Quentin Hart of Waterloo has been named Mayor of the Year by the Iowa Mayor’s Association. Hart received the award during the Iowa League of Cities Annual Conference and Exhibit in Sioux City last week. The award has three categories; cities with a population under 2,000, between 2,000 and 10,000, and over 10,000. Hart thanked his staff and his family for making the recognition possible. Hart is in his fifth term as Waterloo’s mayor and is the first Black mayor of the city.
