The city of Waverly is warning citizens of heavier than usual traffic along the detour route resulting from the closure of the Bremer Avenue Bridge. Cedar River Parkway and Cedar Lane both have experienced more traffic than normal as vehicles utilize alternative routes to get across the river. The city is asking drivers and pedestrians to use extra caution in those areas. They are also suggesting joggers and walkers use different routes.
