A man has been arrested after leading a Black Hawk County Deputy on a high speed chase before backing into the squad car, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The deputy witnessed a vehicle driven by 34 year old Reuben Crawford speeding down Osage Road just before two in the morning on Thursday. The deputy gave chase, following Crawford into Gilbertville where Crawford turned down a dead end drive. Crawford tried to escape by backing into the squad car. Crawford was then taken into custody. No injuries were reported. Methamphetamine was found inside a ChapStick container inside the vehicle as well. Crawford has been charged with Eluding, Possession of Meth, and Operating a Vehicle without the Owner’s Consent.
