Trial has begun in a home invasion in Elk Run Heights, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 22 year old Davon Oliver of Waterloo has been charged with first degree Robbery, first degree Burglary, and Conspiracy. He and two others are accused of breaking into the home around 6am after the father left for an out of town construction job. While inside they are accused of dragging the mother out of the bed and forcing her to unlock her husbands gun safe and leaving marks on the necks of a 9 year old boy and a 6 year old boy. The robbery was allegedly orchestrated by the father’s brother, 20 year old Daymion Ohrt, although he did not participate in the robbery. Most of the guns were recovered. Dequonterio Galloway-Bass is also charged in the case and awaiting trial.
