A teenager was hospitalized after a house fire in Evansdale Wednesday afternoon, according to KWWL. Crews were called to a location along Dearborn Avenue between Milwaukee and Ogden Avenues. The front portion of the home suffered heavy fire damage. Four people live at the home, including a teenager who was able to crawl through a basement window to escape. His parents were unaware that he was home at the time. A Bearded Dragon was killed in the fire. All other pets in the home survived the fire. It is unclear what caused the fire at this time.
