The following is from Cedar Falls Public Safety:
On June 26th, 2025, at 19:08:13, Cedar Falls Fire Rescue responded to lightning that had struck a house at 705 Winters Drive. Upon arrival, fire crews found the roof of the residence had been struck by lightning, which worked its way through the house to the front porch. Fire crews investigated and found no active fire within the residence, which sustained significant electrical damage. There were no injuries from the incident.
