Inaugural Iowa’s Ride Canceled

Iowa’s Ride, the new bicycle ride across Iowa put together by former RAGBRAI employees, has announced that their inaugural journey has been canceled due to concerns over COVID-19. The safety of the riders, townspeople, volunteers, and safety officials was the determining factor in canceling the ride. The deadline for a refund has been pushed back to May 15th. Iowa’s Ride was planned to go the opposite direction of RAGBRAI, starting in Dubuque on July 12th, followed by overnight stops in Monticello, Vinton, Eldora, Clarion, Emmetsburg, Sheldon, and finally ending in Rock Rapids. RAGBRAI announced earlier this month that their trek across the state has been postponed to next summer.
