Last Friday China issued tariffs on a number of prominent Iowa exports, including corn, soybeans, beef, and pork; beginning the long-speculated trade war between the Chinese and American Governments.
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig had this to say about the current state of Iowa’s Ag business:
This echoes a previous statement Naig released, in which he also stated he is continuing to work with the Governor and federal delegation to develop new export markets for Iowa products.
