A new study has found that Iowans are carrying the second lowest amount of credit card debt in the country. That study found that the average American household has more than $16,000 in credit card debt. Compare that to the average Iowan who has just over $4,400 in credit card debt. It was North Dakota who featured the least amount of credit card debt per person. Alaska is the state with the heaviest burden due to credit card.
