A Janesville man has been arrested after going to a home in Waterloo with two guns, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 22 year old Erik Matson was arrested on Sunday around 1:00 a.m. when police noticed him standing outside a home on West Eighth Street in Waterloo. Police made contact after discovering that Matson was wanted on an outstanding warrant in an unrelated case. They found that Matson was wearing an empty holster and had bullets in his pocket. Not far away Police found a 9mm derringer and a .22 caliber derringer in a trash can. Matson was charged with two counts of carrying weapons. Back in March Matson was shot with his own gun in the same area. In that case 53 year old Stephen Bowman and 30 year old Nicholas Schumann allegedly attacked Matson, shooting him in a tussle. They both were charged with assault. Matson is also awaiting trial for weapons and meth charges after he was a passenger in a vehicle with a sawed off shotgun and drugs in November.
