A Janesville man has been found guilty of distributing meth shipped to him with car parts. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa says 43-year-old Robert Lewis was convicted Wednesday of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Court records show Lewis began receiving shipments of meth from an out-of-state source that shipped to him via FedEx and concealed in car part boxes. Each shipment consisted of several pounds of meth. Federal authorities say Lewis and his associates would then break the shipments down to smaller quantities and distribute the drugs throughout the Waterloo area. Documents show Lewis also had his daughter register a vehicle for the head of the organization and allowed other members to use his home to repackage and distribute the drugs.
