The Iowa Department of Transportation is warning drivers of lane closures along Highway 218 in Waterloo. Beginning Thursday night, crews will be working on a bridge deck repair project on the bridge over Highway 63. The project will be completed in two stages. During the first stage, drivers will be directed to travel in the outside lane of 218 for through traffic and have access to the off-ramp at Exit 181B. There will be message signs before drivers reach the work zone alerting them of the project. Work is expected to continue until late October.
