The last person has been sentenced for a deadly robbery in Cedar Falls in 2019, according to KWWL. McKayla Ryan served as the getaway driver for Keyon Roby, James Wright-Buls, and Marquas Gafeney who set out to rob Grant Saul in an apartment above Main Street on December 4th of 2019. In the altercation Roby shot and killed Saul. Roby was convicted of first degree Murder and Robbery. He was sentenced to life with no chance of parole. Gafeney and Wright-Buls both pleaded guilty to Robbery and Conspiracy and were both sentenced to 25 years in prison. Ryan entered an Alford plea to Burglary and Conspiracy. She has also been sentenced to 25 years in prison but is immediately eligible for parole. She requested her sentencing be postponed because she is five months pregnant but the judge in the case declined.
