One of a pair of Minnesotans accused of robbing Latino owned businesses across the Midwest has been sentenced for his crime in Waterloo last year, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 44 year old Richard Holston of St. Paul pleaded guilty to third degree Burglary and second degree Theft on Wednesday and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He and 34 year old Najee Abdullah broke into La Placita Mexican Store on April 5th of last year. They took $2,400 and caused a further $2,000 worth of damage. The two also broke into El Valle Grocery in Hampton, Rositas Market in Ames, Yatzary Mexi-Tiendita in Des Moines, Acapulco Mexican Bakery in Keokuk, and El Azul grocery store in North Liberty. Those crimes are in addition to several others in other states.
