Upper Iowa University has announced that they will be cutting 37 positions and closing seven regional centers, according to the Gazette. The layoffs will impact the main campus in Fayette. A location in Illinois and six in Wisconsin will close. University leaders say dropping enrollment and shifting student needs led to the cuts.
