Detective Captain Jason Leonard is retiring after 30 years with the Waverly Police Department. The public is invited to the Waverly Civic Center on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 for an open house coffee time to honor Leonard.
Leonard shared with us why he became a police officer.
He also has stepped away from his role as an assistant football coach with Waverly-Shell Rock.
