Budgetary constraints at the Waverly Public Library resulted in staff reductions and now in changes to the library’s hours of operation. The library will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, that remains unchanged, but on Wednesdays through Fridays they will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., which is half an hour earlier than before. Saturday’s hours will be the same. On Sundays the library will be closed as has been the case in the summer, however they will remain closed on Sundays through the rest of the year as well. The library says that the public may also notice some reductions in total number of programs offered and program frequency.
