A Buchanan County woman has been sentenced to life in prison after stabbing her ex husband to death, according to KCRG. Hillary Hunziker was convicted back in December of first degree murder in the death of Jason Hunziker in his home in Independence. According to court documents the couple’s 9 year old son called 911 on November 6 of 2017 to report that his mom had just stabbed his dad. Jason Hunziker would also call 911 to report that his former wife had stabbed him. Hillary was found with the child in her car after the murder. She had planned to have her family members raise her son, then kill herself and hope to be reincarnated as the child’s sibling.
