Waterloo Police have arrested a man they believe to be a literal cat burglar, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police say that 46 year old Jamie Wood broke into the home of an acquaintance on Independence Avenue around 11:30 Tuesday night. Once inside he allegedly took a cat and a cat carrier. A woman in the home at the time tried to stop him but Wood allegedly dragged her across the floor and kicked her in the chest. When officers went to Wood’s home they found the cat. He was charged with first degree Burglary and surrendered the cat back to its owner.
