In the state races Craig Johnson has defeated Pam Egli for State Senate District 32 with 61% of the vote. Sandy Salmon easily saw off the challenge of Carissa Froyum with 63% of the vote. Pat Grassley picked up nearly 74% of the vote in defeating Dennis Evans. Shannon Latham got 65% of the vote in beating Karen Koenig and Bennet Smith. In some of the local races it was Greg Barnett fending off Teresa Negen for Supervisor in Butler County. Barnett received 60% of the vote. Leslie Groen defeated Lizbeth Williams for Butler County Auditor with nearly 70% of the vote. Ken Kammeyer narrowly escaped Dean Mitchell for the District 1 Supervisor spot in Bremer County.
