Three years after the roof collapsed, students have returned to Lowell Elementary in Waterloo, according to KWWL. Students were welcomed back into the school yesterday. They were able to experience a school with more space and brand new classrooms. The roof collapsed in 2019 from the weight of snow. Superintendent Dr. Jane Lindaman said the last 35 months were a roller coaster with the roof collapse to the pandemic. There will be an open house for parents and families on Thursday.
