Winnebago Industries has announced that they will be closing their manufacturing facilities in Waverly and Charles City, according to KWWL. The Waverly facility is scheduled to shut down on September 8th. That closure will impact 77 employees. 18 workers will be laid off from the Charles City facility on that same day with a further 26 workers being laid off on December 12th when the facility closes entirely. Winnebago has not yet publicly explained the reasoning behind the planned closures.
