A Waterloo man has been arrested after firing a gun at his wife after she told him she wanted a divorce, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The wife told 59 year old Daniel Sperry-Weber she wanted the divorce on Sunday. He then went to bedroom, got out a .22 caliber handgun and called his wife into the room. When she peered into the room he fired one shot. The bullet struck a hallway door and the woman fled the house. Sperry-Weber allegedly tried to hide the weapon but police were able to locate the weapon. Sperry-Weber has been charged with Intimidation with a Weapon and Domestic Assault with a Weapon.
