Man Allegedly Threatened Hospital Staff with a Knife

A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly threatening hospital staff with a knife last week, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 41 year old Jason Russell was arrested on Monday and charged with Assault on Health Care Workers While Displaying a Weapon. He is accused of threatening staff Thursday at MercyOne Medical Center with a filet knife telling them to get back. Police found Russell in a grassy area off San Marnan Dr. They told him to drop the knife to which he responded, “get back or you’re going to get cut.” Russell was tased so that police could take him into custody.
