An Oelwein man has been arrested after a police chase, according to KWWL. Police tried to pull over a vehicle in the 600 block of Highway 150 in Oelwein Tuesday. When they did the driver of the vehicle, Blayze Harding, took off. During the chase Harding struck a a police car. The officer of that vehicle was taken by ambulance to a hospital with unknown injuries. Harding was eventually captured. He has been charged with driving while barred, eluding, possession of methamphetamine 3rd offense, and possession of marijuana 3rd offense. A passenger in his vehicle at the time was uninjured.
Police are still investigating the case at this time and more charges may be added at a later date.
