A Cedar Falls man has been arrested after his 18 month old daughter was hospitalized after eating his THC gummies, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police say that 31 year old Joel Greenough left his gummies in a plastic sandwich bag in the kitchen of the home. That’s allegedly where his daughter got ahold of the bag, tore it open, and ate three gummies. The girl’s mother immediately wanted to take the girl to the hospital but Greenough allegedly dissuaded her from doing so. Instead, they took turns watching the girl until 3:00 a.m. when she still had not awoken. They took her to MercyOne Cedar Falls before the girl was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Greenough has now been charged with Child Endangerment and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He has been released pending trial.
